Email founders the week their company raises money
The sentence
Every week, find software companies in New York that raised $5M or more in the last 60 days (SEC Form D), find the founder or CEO with a checked email, and write them a short 3-email sequence about our AI SDR agent that books meetings while they hire. Put them in a new paused Apollo sequence and call it zz showcase funding to outreach NY.
A Form D is the notice a company files with the SEC within 15 days of selling shares, so it is about the freshest public sign that a company has just raised. The agent turned "the last 60 days" into a date, "software" into the right Form D industry group and "$5M or more" into the amount sold, then drafted the email brief itself from Your business. Nothing here needed a data subscription: the filings are public and included.

The plan, with every source and who pays
Finds: up to 50 software companies in New York that raised $5M or more, from Form D filings. Researches each one's site and public records and asks an AI question: why now.

Run
- 4
Create it, then run it
Create agent saves it to run every week. Run now starts the first run straight away: finding companies, finding people, researching and finding emails, adding to Apollo.
The whole run took about 2 minutes.

Result
- 5
9 companies, 7 founders or CEOs, 5 in Apollo
9 New York software companies had filed a Form D for $5M or more since August 30. It found the founder or CEO at 7.
5 had a work email that passed the checks and went into the sequence. One had no work email, and one had an email on another company's domain (they may have moved on), so neither was added.
The run cost 21 credits and $0.02 of AI.

What happens next
- 6
A paused sequence in Apollo, and next week's filings
The sequence "zz showcase funding to outreach NY" is in Apollo, paused until you start it. Nothing has been sent.
Next week it reads the filings again and only takes companies it hasn't covered, so each founder hears from you once, close to their raise.

Questions
- Where does the funding data come from?
- SEC Form D filings, read from EDGAR. Companies file one within 15 days of first selling shares in a private round, with the amount sold, the industry group and the state. Searching them is included.
- Does anything get sent without me?
- No. The Apollo sequence is created paused and the leads are added to it; nothing sends until you start it in Apollo.
- What if a founder doesn't have a checked email?
- They aren't added. The run says how many were left out and why (no work email, or an email on another company's domain), and an email finder in Connections can look for more.
